Jules Benveniste

Artistic project

Born and raised in Rome to French parents, Jules is bilingual, bicultural and holds dual nationality, having always felt torn between Italy and France. He studied acting at the Sorbonne-Nouvelle (Paris), ENSATT (Lyon) and, finally, at the Scuola Holden (Turin). He also trained with Dynamis Teatro (Rome), Marc Ernotte, Nadia Vadori-Gauthier, Amahì Camilla Saraceni, the Jan Fabre Teaching Group, David Clavel, Luca Giacomoni and the CISBIT (International Centre for the Study of Theatrical Biomechanics) under the tutelage of Gennady Bogdanov. In France, he has worked with Anna Nozière, Valérian Guillaume, Sabrine Ben Njima and the Compagnie Marius. In Italy, he created a production for the ARTINVITA festival with Alvise Sinivia and Noémi Boutin, centred on Britten and Genet; and toured in “Monday” by Dynamis Teatro in collaboration with ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies and Sustainable Development). His career as an actor and writer has taken him to Lebanon, Quebec and Belgium.

As co-founder of Bougier TOTO – Ensemble Artistique, he has turned to writing and theatre to play with different forms of language.

Caroline Otupal

Presidency & administration

Caroline grew up in Austria and then in France, always straddling two cultures. She chose to study in the cultural sector out of a sense of conviction. She first completed a bachelor’s degree in cultural mediation, followed by a master’s degree in performing arts management.

Her early professional experiences led her to join the team at the Opéra de Lyon and then at the Théâtre National Populaire de Villeurbanne. At the same time, she discovered and developed a passion for free flight. She now carries out administrative, management and accounting roles within this sector.

Convinced of the need for administrative tools tailored to each organisation, she now offers Bougier TOTO a bespoke working framework. Attentive to the artistic process and drawing on her experience of multilingualism, she also contributes to substantive discussions.
